BASF has been investing in Indonesia since 1976. Today, BASF products and solutions for customers in Indonesia range from petrochemicals, monomers, intermediates, dispersions and resins, care chemicals, nutrition and health, performance chemicals, catalysts, construction chemicals, coatings and performance materials to crop protection. The head office for BASF Indonesia is located in Jakarta and BASF operates four production sites, in Cengkareng, Cimanggis, Cikarang and Merak. In 2015, BASF posted sales of approximately €446 million to customers in Indonesia and employed 739 employees as of end of the year. Objectives
- Responsibility for cost effective maintenance of Merak Plant
- Contributes to maintenance and engineering activities
Main Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Plans and implement preventive maintenance & predictive maintenance
- Searches and select suppliers and contractors, pre negotiates terms and conditions with them
- Ensure work safety of own personnel and contractors
- Leads calibrating activities of inspection, measuring and test equipment in the production area
- Work closely with production, utility, lab and supply chain
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Have minimum 5 years of work experience in related position
- Strong in Communication Skills (proficient in English), initiative, good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Willing to work in Puloampel – Kab Serang

Objectives
- According to the general guidance of the supervisor established on the base of the EHS mandatory requirements and Responsible Care ® principles and practices, support the implementation of the EHS programs (in the company or in the assigned business areas), including organizing activities to raise employee awareness of risks and to reduce so as to support avoidance of hazards and occupational illnesses in the workplace
Job Description

Job Requirement
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Chemistry, Engineering (Chemical) or equivalent.
- Good Leadership, Responsible, Independent and team player
- Required language(s): English
- At least 5 year(s) of working experience in EHS/HSE/SHE field
- Applicants must be willing to work in Puloampel - Kab Serang (Merak Site).
- Preferably Assistant Managers specializing in Engineering - Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent.
- Good computer literate
