Federal Motor, produsen sepeda motor Honda di Indonesia (sekarang PT. Astra Honda Motor), memberikan kepercayaan kepada PD. Matras untuk menjadi main dealer sepeda motor dan suku cadang resmi Honda di wilayah Jawa Barat. Pada tahun yang sama, PD.Matras berubah nama menjadi PD. Daya.
